What to know about
your computer's protection
In the technology communities today the presence of viruses, acts as a constant hindrance to the effective running of computer information system processes. Based on all the activities that are conducted on the World Wide Web, it is no secret that the protection of one's system has to be at the top of every computer users mind.
There are so many virus types that can infect your computer systems, they are referred to viruses because their sole purpose is to disrupt and/or destroy all operations on your computer system. Variations of these viruses can come as SPAM (which occurs when you constantly get adverts on your computer emailing system non stop), these can cause your computer system to become slow in its processing because this version of "virus" drops various security disruptive files on your computer system, which in turn allows a back door access into your computer system and/or network.
There are also the pop-up situation that happen due to the opening of addware applications, it installs the advert files on your computer and every time you try to connect to the internet they keep appearing and disrupting your processor and computer systems In the world of viruses there is always the very popular but deadly email virus which strikes and destroys any computer emailing system it comes across.
This virus loads up on your computer, and then replicates in your address book and sends all contacts in your address book a version of itself, which in turn makes it even more deadly. This virus in particular comes up in your email as a message that looks like someone you know i.e. from: john / Subject: hi there this is just an example of what this virus can come in your inbox as and there can be more variations to this virus forwarding system.
What to do: in the market today, there are a lot of software applications that take care of every single problem your computer system can come across, however what does not get disclosed to the consumer, is that most of these software deactivate and/or re-configure the security settings on your systems where by protecting you the computer user from the particular problem to which that software was bought for. In example Spam blocker software protect your computer from spam only, but leave your computer wide open for attack from other viruses.
Yes, spam software will determine any spam file on your system or in a pop-up blocker software case, any pop-up, but it will not protect your entire system. A smart rule of thumb is to always backup all work done on your computer, either on a CD or have it save on a mini-drive away from your main system. This is important because if your computer system happens to get infected by a virus, you can afford to have your computer reformatted and not worry about loosing anything.
It is always a good idea also, to get a technician that knows what they are doing, to setup your security settings on your computer so that your whole system is protected. As for the question of what software to purchase, it is always advisable to purchase software that contains all functions needed for the protection of your computer system.
Also, be sure to employ a technician to install and configure it. Viruses are manufactured to destroy computer systems, so it is always important that you as a computer user take all necessary measures to protect your system, your information and yourself, because staying virus free is always a GREAT idea.
